About Bright Scholars Summer Academy
Our Bright Scholars Summer Academy is designed for families who want more than just a typical camp. Kids explore things like STEM, sports, and life skills while building real confidence along the way. It’s a high-quality, consistent experience—and by the end of the summer, they’re more prepared for what’s next.
Bright Scholars Summer Academy offers a comprehensive 8-week summer program for children ages 5-12 in Charlotte, NC. Running June 15 – August 14, 2026, our all-inclusive camp provides daily enrichment through STEM activities, sports, life skills development, reading programs, and creative arts in a safe, structured environment. With experienced counselors, flexible scheduling options, and convenient extended care available, Bright Scholars makes summer easy for parents and unforgettable for kids. Weekly enrollment ($250), daily drop-in ($75/day), and before/after care ($50/week for 7 AM–6 PM) options available. Lunch and all activities included. Located in Steele Creek at 13925 Erwin Rd. Yes, Bright Scholars Academy is designed for children ages 5 to 12 years old. ALL 5 year olds need to have completed Kindergarten to enroll. Our camps are designed with age-appropriate activities that challenge and engage kids within those age categories.

Bright Scholars Academy Summer Camp runs for 8 weeks from June 15 – August 14, 2026. We are closed June 19, June 29 – July 3 for the holiday week.
Daily Sessions: 8 AM - 4 PM

We offer a little of everything across five core pillars, rotating weekly throughout the summer:
Sports & Fitness, STEM & Innovation, Culinary Arts, Performing Arts, Academic & Life Skills:
Kids can explore multiple interests throughout the summer.

Families enroll by the week. If you want your child enrolled for just a few weeks or the whole summer, we’ve got you covered!

The camp fee includes:
✓ All camp activities, materials, and supplies
✓ Qualified Lead Camp Counselors and Assistant Counselors
✓ Safe, structured supervision throughout the session
✓ Access to our facility and designated camp rooms
✓ LunchParents provide snacks if desired, and children should wear comfortable clothing suitable for active play.

Your child's safety is our top priority. Each camp is led by a Lead Camp Counselor who meets or exceeds North Carolina Division of Child Development (DCDEE) requirements. Lead Counselors are supported by Assistant Camp Counselors to ensure proper supervision ratios at all times.
Our staffing model includes:
Qualified Lead Camp Counselors with experience in education and youth development
Assistant Counselors (often high school and college students gaining hands-on experience)
Consistent supervision and clearly assigned staff per room
Compliance with all NC child care standards
All activities are conducted onsite at our facility—no field trips or off-site transportation.
